Field testing two flux footprint models

چکیده
Abstract. A field study was undertaken to investigate the accuracy of two micrometeorological flux footprint models for calculating gas emission rate from a synthetic 10 × m surface area source, based on vertical measured at fetches 15 50 downwind source. Calculations were made with an easy-to-use tool Kormann–Meixner analytical model and more sophisticated Lagrangian stochastic dispersion model. total 59 testable min observation periods over 9 d. On average, both underestimated actual release by approximately 30 %, mostly due large underestimates larger fetches. The calculations had period-to-period variability, no statistical differences observed between in terms overall accuracy.

متن کاملExperimental Evaluation of Analytical and Lagrangian Surface-layer Flux Footprint Models
Three surface-layer flux footprint models have been evaluated with the results of an SF6 tracer release experiment specifically designed to test such models. They are a Lagrangian stochastic model, an analytical model, and a simplified derivative of the analytical model. Vertical SF6 fluxes were measured by eddy correlation at four distances downwind of a near-surface crosswind line source in a...
متن کاملComparing two testing procedures in unbalanced two-way ANOVA models under heteroscedasticity: Approximate degree of freedom and parametric bootstrap approach
The classic F-test is usually used for testing the effects of factors in homoscedastic two-way ANOVA models. However, the assumption of equal cell variances is usually violated in practice. In recent years, several test procedures have been proposed for testing the effects of factors. In this paper, the two methods that are approximate degree of freedom (ADF) and parametric bootstr...
